I have been hiking in the Sequoias and stopped at a stand of Hickory trees. I starred for a long moment realizing this place, this event, was her painting. It gave me a warm sense of connection. A shared experience with another person. We all talk about how art can move us emotionally. I never experienced it in such a visceral way than at that moment.
