About the Artwork: This was my first painting after returning to my studio after lengthy disruption from the summer fires. What joy to drop into the rich perfume of color and softness emanating from these glowing multi-colored petals! I am forever grateful to be able to immerse in such beauty following all the destruction and lingering smoke. For those who know my early obsession with roses, this painting couldn’t be a better symbol of transformation and rebirth.
