This glorious tree is one of many that constantly wowed me on my recent backpacking trip in the southern Sierra Nevada Mountains [Sep 2018]. By applying generous paint and bold color to the geometry of the bark, the sun-dappled upper branches, and the dancer’s curve of the trunk, I was able to capture the intensity this grand tree deserves. This original painting is done on a 1.5-inch gallery wrap canvas and arrives ready to hang. Giclee prints are also available in a variety of sizes.
