Painting arrived in my life sudenly, * a gift dropped from the sky. It taught me that when magic rings the bell, we must dare to invite it to tea.

The magic of color transports me absolutely. I use assorted mediums: oils, acrylics, tempra, and other random substances, and depending on my mood, I paint in a variety of styles that range from impressionism to expressionism. I'm also a writer, and for me, painting is another way to dialogue with the world.

In my self-taught journey, some paintings spring from thanks for this living earth, other paintings ask favors, still others express struggle or visions from the metaphysical realm. At the heart of it, painting is my soul-work and great joy.

My paintings can be found in private collections throughout the United States and abroad. They are for healing, for manifesting dreams. I hope you receive as much healing and joy from them as I do.

* My journey began in 1997 at Wild Carrots. The leader of this women's group was an artist who offered up her studio as a therapeutic environment. There were bushel-barrels of brushes, paints, clay, wires, hammers, the yard was piled with doll parts, car parts, you name it. It was all for us. We could create whatever we wanted. I was drawn to the paints and brushes with no inkling of a latent talent. Those first paintings were a mystical experience. I would take them home and just stare at them. They were seriously like something from heaven. I still feel that way about them — which is why many of them are included on this website.
